About Amelia Earhart
Amelia Earhart ( 1897 – reported missing 1937 ). Amelia was the first female pilot to fly solo across the Atlantic and set many records as a pilot. She aimed to become the first woman in history to fly around the world. In 1937, she began a westward circumnavigation of the world in her airplane, but she disappeared in a crash over the Pacific Ocean and was never found. In addition, Amelia was an early advocate for women's rights and equality. Here she was one of the driving forces in founding the organization "Ninety-nine" for female pilots and a member of the political party "National Woman's Party". Her story has inspired many boys and girls around the world. She was really a cool woman!
